Rick is an established industry leader with a successful track record in outsourcing consulting and in building BPO businesses for major players, stretching over 20 years. Rick has advised a range of clients in financial services and in other sectors on sourcing strategies and on major BPO and ITO deals.
Prior to founding Aecus, Rick was a partner at Ernst & Young, and helped set up E&Y’s Business Process Outsourcing business. After the acquisition of E&Y consulting by Capgemini, he became a key member of the Capgemini Ernst & Young major deals team. Rick began his consulting career at Arthur Andersen Management Consultants (which became Accenture), where he was a member of the original outsourcing team in the late eighties.
Prior to founding Aecus in 2002, Tim developed PwC’s initial strategy for entry into the BPO market in 1994 and led their first two successful deals for BP in South America and BP/Mobil in Western Europe.
Subsequently, he joined Ernst & Young where he was part of the team that grew the European BPO practice into a £1billion business with clients including Agilent, Ericsson and Shell. Following the merger with Capgemini, he became global leader of their BPO business with clients including C&W, Syngenta and Unilever.
He focuses on pan-European and global IT and BPO deals, especially for Finance and HR. His extensive knowledge of the market has enabled clients to achieve cost reductions on new and existing deals of between 25% and 40%. His particular expertise is in Finance where he has personally advised on more deals than any other advisor in the market – over 10% of the deals which exist today.
His experience includes setting up new deals with clients as diverse as Nestlé, Whitbread, Philip Morris International and SKF. In addition, he has helped several clients turn round underperforming deals.
Prior to Aecus Peter worked for KPMG Consulting for 17 years, including six years as a partner, where he specialised in finance process improvement. He also led KPMG’s successful World Class Finance team, which included large pan-European Shared Services projects for blue chip clients.
As Sector Leader for Commerce & Industry (Telecoms, Media, Entertainment, Energy & Utilities), he is responsible for developing our services to clients which enable them to achieve their business strategy, functional objectives and deliver maximum value through optimising their support services operating model. Where clients work with 3rd parties, Andy has helped many to develop successful and lasting relationships with their service providers.
Prior to Aecus, Andy spent 4 years with Centrica (British Gas) where he led the process design streams for a support services transformation programme encompassing F&A, Procurement and HR. Prior to Centrica, he worked for 15 years as a consultant with Capgemini, Ernst & Young, and Coopers & Lybrand.
Paul is the head of Aecus’s BPO and Shared Services Practice. Paul is an expert in sourcing strategy, deal-making and innovation in outsourcing. He has 18 years advisory experience, covering both IT and business process outsourcing. Paul leads Aecus’ Innovation Programme, including the Aecus Innovation Awards, and the Aecus Innovation Showcase (taking place on 22nd October).
Paul was author of the Deal Doctor column for Outsource Magazine, and has acted as a Director at the National Outsourcing Association. Prior to joining Aecus 10 years ago, Paul was a strategy consultant at Accenture.
John is Head of Aecus ITO Practice. He has over 20 years procurement, programme and commercial management experience gained primarily within the ITO and BPO marketplace and is an expert in defining, shaping and negotiating complex outsourcing relationships. Throughout his career he has taken a leadership role in all aspects of the sourcing lifecycle from both the client’s and the service provider’s perspective and his pragmatic and practical approach is widely acknowledged.
Prior to joining Aecus John gained supplier side experience from companies including Hewlett-Packard, where he held a variety of commercial / negotiating roles over a 10 yr period; Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he helped shape and conclude a number of major BPO contracts; and PwC where he contributed to the development and execution of both BPO and ITO deals. He has worked with clients from a range of private sector industries, including retail, travel, technology/telecoms, and energy/utilities and has good experience of public sector/utilities procurement.
John holds the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, is a regular contributor to industry blogs and journals, and is a member of the editorial board for Outsource Magazine, a market-leading independent publication dedicated to the outsourcing industry.
Before joining Alsbridge, Olaf served as Managing Senior Partner for hbp Consult and before that as the responsible Vice President Financials & Automotive at Compass Management Consulting. Previously he was Management Consultant and lead several bank mergers. Prior he was legal head of the IT service provider of one of the biggest banking groups in Germany.
Olaf studied law and economic and holds a degree in economic and organisational sciences of the Helmut Schmidt University (University of the Federal Armed Forces) of Hamburg.
He also has 4 years experience at establishing and leading a start up software company including setting strategy and establishing and developing sales and marketing strategies.
Homan is head of delivery and is responsible for all Benchmarks carried out in EMEA within Alsbridge.
Meryl is a sourcing expert and advisor with extensive experience of leading significant change programmes in the private and public sectors.
She worked for many years in the NHS and in industry before moving into management consultancy which had provided her with a wide range of skills and experiences to draw on when engaging with clients.
Meryl has worked on multiple major business transformation programmes, providing expert advice and capability across the full project landscape from governance to service delivery and benefits realisation. Meryl’s core skills include the design, implementation and delivery of workable shared and outsourced service programmes.
Tony joined Aecus in 2007 already with a successful track record in consulting, working for a supplier and as a sourcing advisory spanning over 20 years. Tony has worked across many sectors, with much of his experience being in financial services and manufacturing, where he has advised on sourcing strategies and implementation, mainly in ITO.
Prior to joining Aecus, Tony worked as an outsourcing advisor for Morgan Chambers. He also spent time with Capgemini holding leadership positions in both their ITO and BPO businesses and started his consulting career with KPMG in the 1980’s.
